Summer Love

Hi. Remember me? Yes the blogger who blogs once a year. 😬

In other news, summer is in full swing and surprisingly, I am very excited. Unlike the 7 billion people on planet earth, I am not the biggest fan of this season (mainly the heat.. aka the whole point) but but this summer it’s different. I am different. Ahh sounds like I had some spiritual awakening but in reality it’s  bcoz I don’t have to spend ages in commute anymore. 🙈 Or we can continue believing that I am the real life monk who did not sell her Ferrari bcoz she ain’t got no Ferrari (or even a bicycle!)

Anywho, I am genuinely and wonderfully excited and happy for this time of the year.. Ah summer is making me all giddy with possibilities and things I can/want to do. Whether I’ll actually get to them is something we will reflect on September 22nd – the day summer ends and my favorite season of all time starts but what’s the harm in dreaming right?..

So without further ado, here’s my summer bucket list. Things I want to do/see in the next 3 months –

1.Go to a waterpark – check check check, we went to one yesterday. Crushing goals is my second name. If you follow me on insta, you must know by now that I am a girl who has multiple names.. 👸🏽

2. Finish reading these 3 books

  • The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls
  • The Wisdom of Sundays by Oprah Winfrey
  • My Name Is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout

I was never this organized even in school and now I am making a list of books to read for leisure. #adultinghard!

3. Go to a lake or beach with a book in hand and spend few hours reading, munching on snacks and being a summer babe we all see on TV.

4. Use the apartment pool atleast once . *people live in the pool throughout the summer and here I am. Sigh !*

5. Go on 4 hikes. I haven’t been to even one since coming back from India. But we gotta change that asap. #crushinggoals is clearly failing!

6. Drink more H2O. Just because water is good for you kids.

7. Ride a bike.. and become the monk who rented a bike. 🕺🏻

8. How can any summer bucket list be complete without going to Farmer’s market? We have one super close to our place so now it’s all about waking up, getting dressed all cute , applying fresh makeup aka no makeup makeup, wearing cute sandals, carrying a cotton bag with a big camera and going to the market like I always wake up this pretty and now I need 19807 pics..

9. Visit Sausalito. From past 3 years, I have been dreaming about this place. It’s next to SFO and I am sure it’s nothing “OMG this is heaven” kinds but I always imagine it to look like a cute Italian town that I MUST visit and blog about!

10. Go on brunch dates with the husband and friends atleast 2-3 times before summer ends. Ok this is not really summer specific but any reason to add all the food to the agenda is always a good idea.

11. Try 2 new recipes aka either bake something new or cook a new dish. I do cook alot but it’s usually the same thing. I need to challenge myself and be like Julia Child!

12. Since I am planning to brunch, cook, munch etc etc, it makes sense to do some form of exercise atleast 1-2 times a week. Bcoz if you didn’t know, summer bodies are made in summer!

13. Get back to my gratitude practise and journaling. This is something my soul needs desperately.

14. Post atleast one blog per week. Hahahah.lolololol.heheheh.dying.laughing. I get it. But I am still going to try 🙈

15. Most importantly, spend time with family, friends and laugh alot!!

So that’s my bucket list for the summer.. Clearly the list is so big that it can fill a bucket. #queenofbadjokes

What are your plans? Hope this summer is the best for you and your family. Thank you so much for reading even though I am so irregular with my posts.

Have a wonderful week and I’ll see ya all soon.. – Love, M❤
