Gratitude Journal – Week 7

Feels like it was just yesterday when I posted my last gratitude post.. Oh wait it WAS  *almost* yesterday. 🙊

This girl is back on her regular schedule of posting on Monday so let’s get started with week 7 of the gratitude series.

1.Monday – Health is wealth 🙏🏽

The flu season has been hard! Monday was finally the day I felt human again. Otherwise this was me the entire week before 👇🏽

Falling sick always puts into perspective things that are most important aka your health. I have been making an effort to eat better, exercise and relax a bit more this week. Extremely grateful for my body and mind!

2.Tuesday – FOMO the 4 letter monster.. 👹

I suffered from FOMO for the longest time. Btw don’t my blogs always post such a rosy picture of me!? 🙈

On my commute to work on Tuesday, I was searching for some motivational podcasts bcoz you know first day of work week (took a day off on Monday) =  lots of pep talks needed.. 💪 I found this amazing podcast by Mark Manson about FOMO! It is so on point especially in this jet-set world of instagram.

3. Wednesday – Spring blooms.. 🌸

California is blooming with spring flowers. It’s such a gorgeous sight. I can never be NOT grateful for the greatest artist of the world – mother earth! *woah now that’s dramatic but then so is this! 👇🏽*

4. Thursday – The powerful world of blazers! 👩🏽‍✈️

I made an effort to get dressed for work on Thursday and it made such a huge difference to my mood throughout the day.

Blazers are one of the greatest inventions of the century. *telephone, internet, light bulbs etc are just overrated you guys!* They make any outfit look super sharp and smart! Zero effort and a chic look = Taking pics in exotic locations 🚽👇🏽 *last week was about toilet humor. This week we graduated to toilet only. Now that’s called progress!*

5. Friday – Following my dreams… 👜

I have a dream. This dream is about Monika running in slow motion through the spring blooms carrying a straw bag. Since the world always tells you to make your dreams come true, I went ahead and made it happen 🤷‍♀️ I ordered the cutest round straw bag from TopShop!

What am I grateful for here? a) The world of online shopping! b) The ability to buy things! c) Dreaming big! 😬

6. Saturday – A clean home, a trendy Monika! 🏠

I love our apartment. No it’s not the biggest, no it does not have Pinterest worthy aesthetics but it’s still beautiful, cozy, comfortable and most importantly, filled with so much love. My heart swells with gratitude everytime I enter our place. I never want to take it for granted that we have a roof over our head!

Saturday was all about turning into a cleaning ninja and spending a couple of hours making the place look spick-and-spank. And being a fashion blogger, it just made sense to do it in my trendiest clothes. *appointments are now open for styling tips from yours truly!*

7. Sunday – Discovering new brunch places.. 🍩

I LOVE BRUNCH! We went to Pastis, a French bistro in Palo Alto. The food was so so good. I had something called Le Parisian which was basically a french toast filled with chocolate hazelnut and bananas. Ok scratch everything I wrote at the beginning of the post about being healthy. 🙈

The more I focus on the abundance of my life, the more I learn to appreciate everything I have. As I mentioned earlier, FOMO was such a big deal for me until last year but now I have started feeling alot more content because I know I am truly blessed. Taking the time to notice the small things has been game changing. I hope to continue sharing my gratitude journey as it has been extremely therapeutic and I hope it adds some value to your life too.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I’ll see you all soon.. – Love, M ❤
