Spring season is officially here – OOTD

This post is dedicated to welcoming spring with pomp and color 🌸 If you go blind looking at all the colors, blame it on my excitement for spring. Being honest, it’s still a little chilly and I usually realize it only after going out wearing a thin jacket or kimono. But my mind is convinced that spring is already here so I refuse to believe otherwise or listen to my poor shivering body!

In other news 💁🏻, I repeat clothes which is pretty evident from the fact that I have worn these booties and jeans multiple times in my previous blogs. Sadly, I don’t have Carrie Bradshaw’s closet *yet* and maybe even when I do (don’t laugh at me, dreams don’t cost money 😴) , I’ll still wear the same pieces time and again. Isn’t it satisfying to get the most out of your clothes and not feel guilty about spending god-knows-how-much-money on them? Maybe it’s my middle class upbringing but I feel so darn proud of creating different looks using the same pieces. It’s my way of saying ” Look at me! I am so creative and can put together fabulous looks with limited pieces!” . Life is made of such simple gloating moments you see 😏 Lol ok on a serious note, what I am trying to say is that you can look super stylish even if you do not own too many clothing items. It’s all about mixing and matching peeps. 👗

Are you a free spirit? Yes? Buy a kimono. No? Still buy a kimono. You want to look effortless yet dressy? Buy a kimono. You want to look mysterious? Buy a kimono. You want to cover your body and still look stylish? Buy a kimono. You want to make an outfit look a little more jazzed up? Buy a kimono. Basically all your eternal questions can be answered by buying a kimono asap. Don’t believe me? 👀 Fine check out Pinterest and don’t blame me when you turn into a kimono worshipper. 🙏🏽 I caught this bug last year and my collection has been growing ever since.

This season let us be proud of our imperfections, let us show our vulnerable side without being sorry and let us be brave to make mistakes without beating ourselves up. Remember, being flawed is nothing to be ashamed of. Keeping this message in mind, I present to you some of my imperfect moments that *almost* didn’t make it to the post. I ain’t that cool after all 😋 – Love, M

  2. You look incredibly beautiful, as always, girlie! I absolutely love how the floral kimono looks with the yellow top, paired with the mint tassel necklace and those jeans are so cute! I, too, wear my clothes on repeat! I love getting the most out of my clothes and when I’m shopping, I always think to myself, “can I and will I wear this in a number of ways?” If the answer is no, I put it back, even if I really like it, it’s just not practical! That said, I love the way the outfit looks with the booties! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you’re having a great start to your week so far, beautiful!

  9. Amazing pictures, I love the kimono and you’re right, everyone should have one and i think they are perfect for the spring season. I love your message at the bottom, being flawed isn’t a negative thing and we should all celebrate our uniqueness instead of worrying about being imperfect. xx

  10. Hi Monika… I am so in love with the color everybody’s calling marigold. I went on a mission to find a shirt in this color the other day and hit the jackpot. I think it’s important to keep it real when we’re exploring our fashionable sides. At the end of the day style is style no matter what. Thanks for this post!
