Gratitude Journal – Week 3

Hello hello..Writing this series is turning out to be one of the most wonderful things I have done. It forces me to pause every single day to think about something I am grateful for.

I have spent way too much time thinking about things I lack rather than focus on all the things/people/experiences that make this life oh-so-fabulous. If you haven’t, give gratefulness a shot and I am 99.9999% sure you won’t regret it. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Now let’s get started on week 3 of my gratitude journal..

1.Monday – Holiday and family time

I was so grateful for a day off on Monday as it gave me a chance to have the longest video chat session with family. Nothing in this world means more to me than the fam-jam. #sappy-monika-is-back!

2. Tuesday – I โค๏ธย Dairy Milk

When I was tiny little Monika, I used to eat a whole bar of chocolate every single day. Yeah my teeth weren’t exactly what a dentist dreams were made of.. AKA ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿฝ

Ofcourse now I eat maybe one in a couple of weeks.. and my teeth are still no dentists dream. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

Ok the point is I love love dairy milk and ate the whole bar on Tuesday. Happy tummy = happy Monika!

3. Wednesday – Missed the bus. Worked on the blog

I take the bus to work and it is extremely unreliable in the evenings. If you miss it, the next one comes after 30-40 minutes.

On Wednesday, I was maybe 50 feet away from the stop and bam I see the bus leaving right in front of my eyes. I may or may not have cursed, cried, stomped.. and looked a tiny bit like this.

After composing myself, I took the laptop out and finished the blogpost for Thursday. I initially had plans of getting home and working late through the night on the blog but I guess missing the bus was a blessing in disguise ๐Ÿ˜Š

4. Thursday – Did not miss the bus! The world started making sense again..

And on Thursday I just made it in the nick of time to catch the bus. Clearly majority of my life revolves around “the bus”! ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธย And ofcourse I celebrated this event with pomp and show.ย

5. Friday – FRIENDS is the best show ever!

Our dinner routine is incomplete without watching Friends. We have seen the show so many times but it never gets old.

Friday was a tough day and ofcourse I turned to this gem of a series to make the night a bit better and you know it worked out just perfect.. Who is your favorite character from Friends? Mine is definitely Phoebe. I absolutely adore her outlook towards life!

6. Saturday – Plugging off and finding my zen moment

Extremely grateful for a day filled with nothing. I took a day off from technology, kicked back, applied face mask, hair oil, nailpaint, made a bubble bath.. you know the whole shebang.ย

And in the evening we made an impromptu plan to go to the mall. I am so glad to have stepped out of the house because the sunset was just out of the world. Oh I can never ever tire of taking a millions pictures of sunsets or you know talking/blogging about them. ๐Ÿ™Š

7. Sunday – Morning hikesย

We woke up at 7:30 on a Sunday *I know!* for the love of hiking. It was the perfect end to the week.ย

How was your week? What is the one thing that made your heart dance with gratitude?

  1. I love reading your gratitude series. It reminds me that the little things matter more than we think. ๐Ÿ™‚ I think I’m going to start jotting down gratitude for daily matters too. Thanks for the inspiration!
