Welcoming spring with an Indian touch – OOTD

Yaayyy spring is around the corner, incase you all didn’t notice! ๐ŸŒธย With this announcement, my job as a weather lady is complete so let’s get started with the new post.ย Do you guys ever get a weird feeling in the stomach when trying an outfit or a combination that is out of your comfort zone? Do I hear a yes?ย Ok let’s assume it is a yes! Well this look gave me the same butterflies-in-my-stomach kinda feeling. Not because it is absolutely earth shattering or breaking set-in-stone fashion rules but simply because this is a combination I have never tried before and always wanted to.

I am a big fan of Indian jewelry but the only time they see the light of the day is during Indian festivals. With spring almost peeping at us from the door, a nice casual/light look is so needed to get over the layers and layers and layers and layers (ok you get my point..) of clothing! There is a different kind of satisfaction in combining things you love which for me is adding lemonย ๐Ÿ‹ย to everything I eat and adding jhumkas ( traditional Indian earrings) to a super casual look, a first for me!

It’s not all work and no play while shooting as you can see below-

Or maybe it is all work and no play! Check out the super short video to see the reality. For my non-Indian friends, I am saying “take one more shot!!” with an exasperated expression because I was so cold after trying to get the perfect shot of water splashing atleast a hundred times!ย ๐Ÿ˜‚

Peeps, did we learn something new from this post? Ok maybe that I get cranky when my shot is messed upย .. On a serious note, go ahead and do something you have always wanted to, whether it is trying an outfit or a new hobby. Let your unique and quirky self show because owning your kick-ass self is what life is all aboutย ย โค๏ธย – Love, M
